Welcome to the Lighthouse Orphanage fundraising page where I'll be updating my progress in raising money for the children's orphanage.
Last year while Karin and I were traveling through Cambodia, we stopped in Phnom Penh where we came across the amazing Lighthouse Orphanage organisation who look after and teach these wonderful children. The organization only survives by donations & volunteers who work there, with most facilities such as beds, tables, chairs and even buildings being donated by their supporters. We were very taken by the wonderful work done here and I vowed to myself that I would do something to help.
So I'm fulfilling my promise to raise some money for this organisation by running upcoming races in and around Sydney detailed in the next couple of months;
14th August: City2surf run from Sydney CBD to Bondi beach
9th September: Jervis Bay half-marathon
October: Melbourne marathon or NSW marathon.

To make donations you can use the link below to pay by either paypal or credit card. I have had to use this process because LHO is a non-Austrlian/International charity so the race organisers are unable to set up fundraising pages. Once I have finished the last race in October I'll make the final donation to the organisation which will also minimize the bank fees.
